A Mid-Century Modern Dream

Kitchen in Mamaroneck, New York

We infused a modern aesthetic in this new mid-century modern home, with views of the Long Island Sound. Our clients wanted a sleek design, and we made sure to deliver! The upper cabinets and tall pieces in this kitchen are finished in natural quarter sawn white oak, while the lower cabinets and island are finished in black paint. We love the contrast created with these two different finishes, especially paired with the bright, marble countertops and waterfall island.

This kitchen features a variety of custom features, including a paneled refrigerator and freezer drawer, a stainless steel box hood that extends above the cabinet line, a wine fridge, built in microwave, and even a transom window.

The cabinets in this kitchen are central to the look our clients envisioned. With flat panel doors and two different handle styles for the cabinets (bar pulls and sleek low profile pulls for the wall cabinets), this kitchen is a mid-century modern dream.
