As it did for so many families, the pandemic caused our clients to realize that they needed more space for themselves and their children. They decided to enlarge the footprint of their home. This two story renovation created a brand new kitchen and bar on the first floor and a new primary bedroom suite and office on the second floor, allowing each of their children to have their own bedrooms for the first time.

Our clients required a kitchen that would cater to their kosher lifestyle, passion for cooking, and desire to entertain. This meant incorporating multiple prep and cleaning areas, ample storage for separate sets of dishes, and space for two dishwashers. With three children, they needed plenty of room for food storage and seating to accommodate everyone comfortably.

Our design features a range of custom storage solutions, including a knife block drawer, dedicated pantries, cabinets with dividers for cutting boards and baking trays, and pull-out drawers under the island. These elements ensure everything is within easy reach, making cooking and entertaining seamless. We also included a sizeable island with conversational seating, perfect for casual family meals, morning coffee, homework, and entertaining.

We used the Encore Line from Crystal Cabinets, opting for the Regent door style. The Shaker style doors contribute to a transitional aesthetic, blending modern and traditional styles effortlessly. The choice of Designer White paint on the cabinet doors creates a bright, inviting space that perfectly reflects the family's personal style.

Bar

This stunning service bar is located just off the kitchen and is the first thing you see when entering the house from the back deck. Pairing black painted cabinets and natural walnut accents with a dark countertop and a bright, contrasting patterned backsplash creates a moody yet dressy feel to the space.
