Sun Soaked Transitional Kitchen
Kitchen in White Plains, New York
This transitional, bright white, open kitchen stands out as the heart of the home for our White Plains clients. We created a space that feels like an oasis, where our clients can host large gatherings and entertain family and friends, all while preparing meals.
The space is serene and inviting, and open to a cozy living area. Our clients wanted to be able to prepare meals for visiting family members and reconnect with them at the same time. We provided a substantial island, equipped with seating for eight people so large groups could gather in the kitchen at one time.
The kitchen has vaulted ceilings and skylights, offering an abundance of natural light, which creates an airy and expansive feel. To accentuate the bright and open aesthetic, we opted for cabinets from Crystal, painted in Designer White. They are complemented by quartz countertops.
We incorporated various features to achieve a “transitional” style in this kitchen, including a custom valance above the window, intricate pillars framing the sink, and a unique hood above the range. We used Madison style cabinet doors, as well as a bead board on the island, to inject a contemporary flair into the overall design.
